J.Pachabel's Canon is one of the widely known and beloved rounds that survives up to our day. This Canon consists of successive melodic voices written above a recurring 8-note ostinato base throughout the entire piece, yet it never cease to evoke a sense of continuous motion in musical ideas. This particular string quartet version reminds me of childhood friends finding each other again and sharing fond memories of the time spent together in the past.
